March 19, 2014...It's Time

Elder Oakes' flight left at 7:35 am Wednesday, March 19th. We had to leave at 5 am to get to the airport on time.

We got to the airport in plenty of time to take some pictures and say our final goodbyes. We all had lots of tears at the thought of not seeing Bryce again for two years, and yet a lot of joy in this new experience he was going to have.

This mom will sure miss him!

And he's off!

Luckily, Bryce's second parents were in SLC visiting and offered to pick him up from the airport, take him by the missionary mall and to lunch and deliver him to the MTC. What a blessing! Jill and Richard Cammack are Bryce's best friends' parents. Jon Cammack left earlier on his mission so they knew exactly what they were doing!

Now we are waiting for our first email from Elder Oakes on his "P-day". Looking forward to hearing all about it!
